The Lodge @ High Plains – Stay in your own private bit of Eden

Escape the trials and tribulations of modern life for your own piece of Eden. We enjoy an elevated position above the Eden Valley in Cumbria, within the Westmorland Dales (part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park).
We are 5 miles south of Appleby-in-Westmorland and just 1½ miles from the lovely village of Great Asby.
You will have a modern cedar lodge set alone in its own acre of woodland, with breathtaking views across the high Pennines.

The private and fenced woodland was absolutely fantastic to let our dogs roam freely and explore, with plenty of interesting smells and pheasants! Even in the rainy British countryside, it’s still an absolute dream. 

The other woodland near the farm is fantastic for a walk around with the dogs too. 

The lodge is lovely, the bed is super comfortable and the Wifi was good enough to do little bits of work on (I write code for a living, which can be pretty internet intense), so very unexpected for the location. Though wifi and TV is NOT the reason you stay somewhere like this!

Our wonderful hosts left us a beautiful lemon drizzle cake and some fantastic butter, along with the usual milk, tea, coffee and sugar. 

We rebooked for the summer whilst we were there!

We are a small, mixed livestock farm with horses, pigs, chickens, cattle, and sheep (well we are in the Dales, and the Eden Valley is renowned for the quality of its grass).
